Free BioDevelopment® Internships to graduates
Our Biodevelopment Dance Therapy Teacher Training course includes an optional, complimentary two-week internship, allowing graduates to teach Biodevelopment classes at our headquarters in Koh Phangan, Thailand. This opportunity, available for up to two years after graduation, is designed for those who wish to further develop their teaching skills.

Inspired in Biodanza and Tantra trainings
Biodevelopment® was created by Ishi, founder and lead teacher of Samma Karuna. The system came to life from his experience in Biodanza by Rolando Toro and his many years of experience teaching Tantra. BioDevelopment is a dynamic self-development platform grounded in loving presence and acceptance. It harmonizes body and mind by balancing emotions and enhancing body awareness through engaging human interactions, music, and movement. BioDevelopment Dance Therapy is a unique system developed at Samma Karuna by Ishi and inspired in Biodanza and Tantra. This course is driven by the powerful synergy of music and expression, creating intensely transformative experiences. Each session opens the door to deep personal transformation and a vibrant connection with life.
For who is this course?
The Biodevelopment Dance & Movement Therapy is for those who wish to use movement, expression and music as tools for inner healing, enhancing the health of the body, mind, and spirit, and becoming professional Biodevelopment facilitator.
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to deepen your own practice (module 1) as well as the teaching methods necessary to teach (module 2).
The application requirements for our Biodevelopment Dance & Movement Therapy Course
The prerequisites to enroll in our Biodevelopment Dance Therapy are:
- Previous experience in BioDevelopment practice or another Dance Therapy system.
- A high level of comfort with body movement and respectful body contact.
- A commitment to learning.
- You must be able to read, speak, and comprehend English with a satisfactory degree of fluency.
The Course structure:
The course consist on two different modules; Module 1: Biodevelopment practitioner training, and Module 2: Biodevelopment Facilitator Course. While module 1 can be done by itself, module 2 can only be done if you have successfully completed module 1 first.
Module 1: Practitioner Training
In this first 3-day module, you will deepen your understanding of the tools, excersises, and techniques that Biodevelopment offers.
This module can be experienced either as a transformative workshop, immersing yourself in the practice of dance and movement therapy, or as a facilitator training course, earning credits toward a teaching certification.

Module 2: Facilitator training
Module 2 offers advanced techniques and practices focusing on intimacy, heart-opening, recognizing the observer, and integrating the observer with the observed.
Our teacher training module equips you with the knowledge and teaching techniques required to lead your own Biodevelopment classes and workshops. You will gain all the necessary tools to structure a session from start to finish.
Upon successfully completing this training course, graduates are invited to participate in a complimentary 21-day internship to help the new graduates develop confidence and further practicing facilitating Biodevelopment.
* Teacher Training can only be pursued after successfully completing Module 1.

- 12.30 to 15.30: Lunch break and rest (Healthy and nutritious Vegan Buffet)
- 15.30 to 15.50: Compassionate sharing
- 15.20 to 16.20: Biodevelopment Theory
- 16.30 to 18.30: Biodevelopment practice

Ishi: the lead teacher
Ishi, our lead teacher, is an internationally recognized spiritual guide and experienced Tantra teacher. As a seeker and spiritual mentor, Ishi has devoted his life to the path of love as a means of self-realization, awakening, and healing.
Ishi is the founder and lead teacher of Samma Karuna, where he has been leading workshops and spiritual retreats for the past 14 years.
His teachings are centered on the message of loving presence.
An awakening experience following a spinal injury at the age of 29 catalyzed Ishi's dedication to his spiritual journey. Since then, he has created several transformative systems and methods, including the BioDevelopment® Dance Therapy system, the contemporary Trika Tantra school, the R.I.C.H. method, Samma Karuna So Ham Breath®, and Tetra Breathwork®.
Additionally, he has developed numerous active meditations and techniques that integrate breath, movement, and expression.
Currently, Ishi oversees the three main schools at Samma Karuna: Tantra, Yoga, and Breathwork. Since 2013, he has been teaching daily, dedicating the past decade to his students and the Samma Karuna community.
