Alignment Yoga Workshop

Da jeg provde det for mange aar siden var jeg overbevist om at det var prosesser i meg selv som styrte det hele - og det maa det ha vaert - noe annet ville ikke vare logisk. Omtrent som en psykedelisk trip, Er du i stand til aa telle tall du vet du ikke omgaas med til daglig, eller se farger og tenke begreper som er irrasjonelle eller du vet er bare noe tull (?) Da er du muligens paa rett vei.

I"ve been volunteering at Samma Karuna for one month and loved it so much that I returned for another 4 weeks. Samma Karuna is a truly loving space full of genuine people. It offers everything from Yoga to Osho Meditations and Cuddling Groups. Being part of the community was more than healing and a life changing experience. Anyone who is looking for love light and peace Samma Karuna is the place for you!
If you want to know what it's open up your heart, to feel a warm and loving hug, to be part of group that really takes care of your feelings; to live and learn different tecniques related with the spiritual world from excellents teachers, in an paradisiac island of Thailand; this is the perfect place. I'll be eternally gratefull to the Samma Karuna team for the oportunity to share with you!!
I didn't like the attitude of the yoga teacher who taught the Ariel Yoga. American or Canadian man. His manner was not appropriate and not yogi at all. I also met a person who was doing a retreat here and her experience was quite a negative one.
A little note to anyone thinking of attending the Samma Karuna School of Awakening and Yoga: DO IT! I did my first yoga TTC in late summer 2014, and loved every minute of every 14hr day. It was one of the most amazing, intense and rewarding experiences I've ever had; emotionally, physically and spiritually. I am highly recommending the entire experience, whether it be a full intense course, a less "full-on" experience, or even just a few yoga or awakening classes. Whatever you decide, Samma Karuna will welcome you with open (and non-dogmatic!) arms. A journey I will never forget, and am already thinking of continuing.... Enjoy! 🙂

Samma Karuna is the place to be if you wanna find happiness, love and a second family when you are traveling. Everybody has a friendly word for you and the classes are just amazing. They have so many different teachers that everybody can get what he wants. I am really exited to do my Yoga Teacher here. Can't wait. !!!! If you are in Thailand just come and visit us. And if you have four weeks time: Come and be a volunteer <3

Get a deeper understanding on how to align yourself in every pose for a safe and effective practice. Protect your joints, balance strength and flexibility and learn how to correct habits. This workshop is oriented to yoga teachers and experienced practitioners.
The Yoga Fundamentals Workshop is geared for people who are either starting out in their yoga practice or for those would like to revisit and clarify basic alignment principles.
Through demonstration, discussion and experiential movement, the workshop will empower you with key understandings and information on how to help keep your body safe – whether you are practicing in a class or on your own.
The safety and positioning of three key areas of the body will be examined in relation to yoga postures: the shoulders, the lower back and the knees. Correct alignment of these areas will be explored in relationship to building an awareness of core strength and stability.
When asanas (yoga postures) are practiced with awareness and knowledge of healthy alignment, you will find greater comfort and ease in the body. Proper alignment is essential to avoid the risks of injury and to establish a solid foundation on which a practice can grow.
Once the body feels taken care of and is not risking injury, we are also more available to explore the benefits of subtler practices such as pranayama (yogic breathing) and meditation.
