Join us for a transformative 4-hour workshop into the world of Contact Improvisation (CI), a dynamic dance form that celebrates movement, trust, and connection. Whether you’re new to CI or have been moving for years, this workshop is open to all levels.
We’ll begin with grounding somatic practices to connect to your body and breath, building a foundation of awareness. From there, we’ll explore key CI principles such as sharing weight, points of contact, momentum, and trust. Through guided exercises, creative improvisation, and collaborative movement, we’ll deepen our connection with ourselves and others in a supportive and open environment.
This workshop provides a space to move freely, learn, and connect through the art of dance. Come ready to explore, share, and discover the joy of movement!
About Facilitator:
Christina is a certified Embodiment Facilitator and Coach, guiding individuals and groups into greater self awareness and choice around their patterns and relationships.
Her background is multidisciplinary and includes a black belt in Aikido, yoga TTC, different dance forms, meditation, bodywork and conscious relating practices. In the last 8 years her focus was particularly on Contact Improvisation and its potential for social and individual transformation.
In all of her work she employs embodied enquiries that entail posture, movement and breath to generate deeper self-awareness and empower people to change their patterns in a playful way. Others describe her and her work as sensitive, perceptive, down-to-earth and balanced, with a lot of clarity, compassion and humor.
