Registration

• If SAMMA KARUNA finds, for whatever reason, you are unfit to attend a course we reserve the right to deny you enrollment.
  In this case, any amount paid by the applicant as course fee will be refunded in full minus 4.5% booking fee (non-redundable fee taken by payment gateway) .
• In case due to some emergency a student is not able to come on time, he/she must inform SAMMA KARUNA in advance and he/she may be admitted to training/workshop/retreat at the discretion of SAMMA KARUNA
• SAMMA KARUNA requires that all trainees attending our courses have comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the duration of their training/workshop/retreat
• Late registration depends on availability
• Trainee identification such as a photocopy of Passport and Visa must be provided during the check in at the school before start the of program/course/retreat
• SAMMA KARUNA cannot guarantee your registration in Training Courses until the deposit payment is made and your application form is approved
• SAMMA KARUNA cannot guarantee your booking for retreats/workshops/program until the full payment of the package is made
• Attention! Kindly notice that there are no activities in our school on the following dates: 25th december, 1st january, 13th april

Cancellation Policy

• In case the applicant decides to cancel his/her booking at any time before the commencement of a course then SAMMA KARUNA will refund the amount paid as booking/registration fee as follows: - before 90 days: 80% will be refunded - before 60 days: 40% will be refunded - within 60 days: NO refund
• Deposits for courses are NON- REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE; however, the applicant may request to change the starting date at no cost during the first change and with a re-booking fee of 70 Euro on any following occasions. SAMMA KARUNA reserves the right to refuse admission in case we find the person is not fit to attend the course.
• SAMMA KARUNA has a strict NO REFUND Policy in case a student withdraws from Teacher Training/workshop/retreat courses after the training commences under any circumstance
  Also, if a training/ workshop/retreat must be abandoned or interrupted due to exceptional circumstances there will not be a refund. However, a student can transfer his/her fees towards any future date within two years of original registration date. In the event that SAMMA KARUNA training, workshop or retreat is canceled 100% of the payment will be refunded.
  
• SAMMA KARUNA accepts no responsibility for flight costs in the event of cancellation of training, workshops or retreats
  The organization is not liable for any flight cancellation, rescheduling or delays
• Course Update - SAMMA KARUNA reserves the right to alter the course or curriculum and to select staff from a pool of qualified teachers depending upon availability per training
• Materials that are part of any training, workshop or retreat including but not limited to the Teacher training manual, the general layout of the SAMMA KARUNA Website, Logos, Trademarks and web pages content are the property of SAMMA KARUNA
  Using this information with third parties or for financial gain without full permission of SAMMA KARUNA is strictly prohibited
• COVID-19: All courses booked after 24th April 2020 are fully refundable on the event of COVID-19 travel restrictions. Refunds are only applicable to bookings originally done for dates when the travel restriction applies and not for transferred bookings. The participant may be required to provide additional documentation as proof of these restrictions (such as passport/visa photocopy, flight booking ..etc) in order to be entitle to a refund.

Student Information

• SAMMA KARUNA takes the privacy and security of our trainees and their personal information very seriously
• Information collected is used strictly by us to provide our services to you and as is required for the provision of our services
  - Information submitted to SAMMA KARUNA may be shared with administrative staff and teachers solely for the purpose of administration and teaching
• Pictures taken during training, workshops, retreats or classes may be used in a promotional capacity such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, Flicker, You Tube, the organization website etc
  By agreeing to these terms and conditions trainees give full permission for this information to be released after verbal conscentment from the trainee is given.
• SAMMA KARUNA retains no liability for use of pictures or videos taken by trainees of the training, the teachers or other trainees
• Photos and videos taken by trainees during training are deemed to be for learning and personal use only
  Sharing this information with third parties or for financial gain without full permission of SAMMA KARUNA is strictly prohibited
• SAMMA KARUNA may contact students in the future about upcoming events and opportunities
  This will require the use of trainee contact details. If trainees are uncomfortable with this, please make this explicitly known to the staff via emai.

Health or Injury Issues:

• Injury or illness prior to or during the training by partaking in training, workshops, retreats or classes, trainees retain control and direction over all their physical activities and voluntarily assume full liability and accept the risk of harm, including physical injury and discomfort as a result of their participation in activities during the program
• SAMMA KARUNA accepts no liability for any injury or illnesses that occur to students during the training, workshops, retreats or classes
• The students must not engage in consumption of alcohol, any other intoxicants, drugs or any kind of illegal activities during the course and abide by the laws of Thailand
• In case of pregnancy, the student must understand that she participates fully at their own risk and that of their unborn child/children

Students Code of Conduct

As student of any of our Courses, you agree to uphold the ethical goals set forth in the following code of conduct:
1. Behave and speak in a way that does not offend others
2. Dress appropriately
3. Seek help if needed during the course
4. Treat everyone with respect. Any form of bullying will be treated seriously and may lead to exclusion from the course
5. Ensure you are punctual in the activities on the school. SAMMA KARUNA reserve the right to deny your entry to the activities that already started
6. For Training Course students, ensure you attend all classes (unless absence is explained or agreed prior)
7. Respect the noble silence on the campus from 10 pm to 8 am
8. Treat all course teachers with respect
9. Follow health and safety rules always
10. Park only in designated areas
11. Switch off your mobile phone in class
12. Do not take any food or drink in glass cup into the Halls
13. Smoking, consumption of alcohol or any intoxicating substances, drugs or any other illegal activities are not allowed
14. Dispose of litter responsibly

As a Samma Karuna accredited Teacher, you must agree to comply with the conditions and requirements as set out in the course curriculum and accept that failure to do so will disqualify you from any accreditation
You, furthermore, vow to uphold the standards of the teachings that have been given and to maintain and promote the good name of yoga at all times. In case of your failure to do so may lead to the annulment of any accreditation obtained from SAMMA KARUNA School
SAMMA KARUNA reserves the right to expel any student from the course at any time on grounds of misconduct and improper behavior of any kind such as not following the time-table, creating disturbances to other students, disrespecting the teachers or assistant teachers, or not following the prescribed rules and regulations for the course
The student will NOT be entitled to any refund in this case

Complaint Procedure

For filing any complaints, there are three stages
Stage One: An informal Chat in the presence of our Welcome Center staff. Usually, we will try to address and close your complaint at this stage
Stage Two: You can write a complaint on our website https://www.sammakaruna.org/contact-us/ (option "Feedback to School's Management")
On receiving your message, we will set up a date and time with our staff to address your complaint
Stage Three: We will reply our response to your complaint after discussing with our management team and staff. If it is not possible to prove a full answer within 3 days after Stage 2, we will you provide a letter outlining the reasons why and give a date by which a full answer is expected
Note: The complaint will stay anonymous
There will be no refunds given under any circumstance unless decided by SAMMA KARUNA Management Team

Using Our Website

When using our website:

Other terms:

SPECIAL DISCOUNTS: Some courses may offer a special discount to participants that have done or will do Karma Yoga Service (volunteering) at SAMMA KARUNA. The school reserves the right to hold the participant's certification until all duties of the participant with the school have been completed.

ADDICIONAL STUDIES: Sometimes the school may offer a participant to take a short course on terms of "Without extra charge" in order for the participant to comply with certain academical standards required to take a long-term course. In this case the cost of the short course will be included in the cost of long-term course payment given by the participant. In case that the participant decides later-on to do not take part of the long-term course or if the course is cancelled due to circumstances outside the control of SAMMA KARUNA, the short term course taken will be charged to the participant.

TRAVEL ADVICE: Complementary travel advice might be provided to SAMMA KARUNA students in order to help them on the journey to the school and back home. SAMMA KARUNA will not be responsible for inaccuracies or changes on the information provided that might affect the journey of the student.
