Samma Karuna – Terms & Conditions

1. Registration & Payments

• Bookings are confirmed only after payment has been received.
• For trainings or intensive courses, registration is complete once the application form is approved and the deposit is paid.
• All guests must present a valid passport or ID at check-in.
• Guests are recommended to have travel and medical insurance covering their full stay.
  
  

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Accommodation-Only Bookings (Resort Guests)

• Cancel before 30 days: 100% refund
• Cancel before 14 days: 50% refund
• Cancel within 14 days or no-show: no refund
• Early departures or shortened stays are non-refundable.

Courses, Retreats & Programs

• Cancel before 60 days: 90% refund
• Cancel before 30 days: 80% refund
• Cancel before 14 days: 40% refund
• Cancel within 14 days: no refund
• Teacher Training deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• One free date change is permitted; additional changes incur a €75 re-booking fee.
• After the course or stay begins, no refunds are possible.
• If Samma Karuna cancels an event, retreat, or training, a 100% refund will be issued.
• Samma Karuna is not responsible for flight cancellations, travel delays, or external restrictions.
  
  

3. Resort Rules & Conduct

Samma Karuna is an intoxicant-free resort.

• The consumption of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property — including rooms, restaurant, yoga halls, and all public areas.
• Guests and students must treat others and staff with respect at all times.
• Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM.
• Please be punctual for scheduled activities.
• Violation of these rules or disruptive behavior may result in expulsion without refund.
  
  

4. Health, Safety & Liability

• Participation in any activity is voluntary and at your own risk.
• If you are pregnant or think you might be, you must inform the teacher before taking any class.
• Pregnant guests participate in all activities at their own responsibility.
• Samma Karuna accepts no liability for injury, illness, or loss of personal property during your stay.
  
  

5. Media & Privacy

• Photos or videos taken by Samma Karuna during classes or events may be used for promotional purposes with your verbal consent.
• All course materials, manuals, and trademarks remain the property of Samma Karuna and may not be shared or reproduced without written permission.

6. Complaints

• If you have any concern or issue during your stay, please speak directly with our Welcome Center staff or email management@sammakaruna.org.
  
  

7. General

• Samma Karuna may adjust schedules, teachers, or course content when necessary.
• By confirming your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
